Abstract

This study aims to determine students' perceptions of the importance of professional communication ethics in the school environment as preparation for internships. This study used a descriptive quantitative method with data collection techniques through questionnaires to students of SMA 2 Enrekang. The results showed that most students had a good understanding of communication ethics, such as the use of polite language, respectful attitudes, and the ability to communicate effectively with teachers and friends. However, in practice, there are still some students who have not consistently applied these ethics in their daily lives. Professional communication ethics is considered very important in shaping students' readiness to face the world of work, especially during internships. This study concluded that there is a need for increased guidance and habituation of communication ethics so that students are more prepared, confident, and able to adapt in the work environment.
