The stages of aging (aging) are natural processes accompanied by a decrease in physical, psychological and social conditions that interact with each other. Humans who experience aging are called elderly, according to Ratnawati (2017) the Law of the Republic of Indonesia states that elderly are people aged 60 (sixty) years or more (Hasanah & Pagar, 2018). The number of elderly people in Indonesia reaches 21 million people (Setiati et al., 2019). The highest risk for the elderly is the high potential for accidents when carrying out several activities, especially at home or dormitories (Petersen et al., 2018). Bergen et al., (2016) stated that 29 million elderly had accidents in 2014, and caused 29 thousand deaths in 2016 (Johnston et al., 2019). According to research by Sahin and Erkal (2016), the number of elderly who have accidents in the kitchen reaches 31.7%. Elderly accidents can cause trauma and physical disability. Yapici et al., (2019) stated that several accidents in the elderly at home occurred in the kitchen.
