Abstract

The lack of classroom discipline and student motivation is a common factor that reduces the effectiveness of classroom learning. Students fail to concentrate, display passive behavior, and do not achieve learning objectives optimally due to a disruptive classroom environment and a lack of enthusiasm for learning. This study aims to improve learning effectiveness through classroom discipline and learning motivation. By reviewing books, scientific journals, and relevant previous studies, this research employs a literature review method with a qualitative approach. The data are analyzed descriptively by examining ideas, findings, and hypotheses related to classroom management and factors that motivate students to learn. The findings highlight the importance of classroom discipline in creating a structured, organized, and goal-oriented learning environment, which is essential for effective learning. Learning motivation functions as both an internal and external driving force that enhances student engagement and active participation in the learning process. This study also reveals a reciprocal relationship between classroom discipline and learning motivation, in which both reinforce each other in improving learning effectiveness. Therefore, strengthening classroom discipline and learning motivation in an integrated manner is necessary to achieve optimal learning quality
