Work-related fatigue is one of the ergonomic issues that can affect workers’ physical condition, ability to concentrate, motivation, and productivity, and cleaning staff are no exception. This study aims to analyze the level of subjective fatigue among 16 cleaning staff working at a service industry in Bengkulu City using the Subjective Self-Rating Test (SSRT). A descriptive quantitative approach was applied to measure fatigue levels using the SSRT instrument, which consists of 30 items and covers three dimensions: activity impairment, motivational impairment, and physical fatigue symptoms. The results showed that the subjects had an SSRT score of 64, placing them in the moderate fatigue category within the score range of 53-75. The scores for the activity impairment dimension were 18, for the motivational impairment dimension 23, and for physical fatigue symptoms 23. The most prominent symptom was frequent thirst, while several other symptoms, such as whole-body fatigue, the desire to lie down, decreased concentration, forgetfulness, lack of self-confidence, anxiety, back pain, and dizziness, were experienced frequently. This study can serve as a starting point for evaluating and improving work systems to prevent the accumulation of fatigue and maintain the safety and productivity of cleaning staff.
