Abstract

The failure of contemporary economic systems to distribute wealth fairly often triggers income disparities and massive resource exploitation, thereby creating various social problems and structural inequalities in society. This phenomenon reinforces the urgency of Islamic economics as an alternative paradigm that is not only oriented toward material aspects but also integrates moral and spiritual values into economic activities to achieve a sustainable balance of life. This paper aims to analyze the vital role of the principles of ownership, mashlahah, and musyawarah as the main foundations in designing a just Islamic economic system. By employing a literature review methodology through the examination of various relevant and credible scientific references, the findings indicate that ownership in Islam is recognized proportionally, yet it remains bounded by divine rights and the social responsibilities inherent in every individual. Furthermore, economic activities must be oriented toward public welfare through participatory and inclusive deliberation (musyawarah) mechanisms in order to prevent the domination of economic power by a small group. The synergy of these three principles is proven to be crucial in creating a just and ethical economic ecosystem capable of realizing inclusive and sustainable societal welfare.
